Lots privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-11-01. Plain words first; nothing here is hidden in small print.

Lots keeps everything on your phone. We run no servers for it, and we never see your cards.

What the app stores, and where

  • Your drawers and cards (titles, notes, ingredients, opening hours and arrival dates you type, and an optional photo you choose for a card), when each card is resting, the date slips and memories you keep, your little stamps, and your preferences (name, the services you tick, pantry list, nudge time, theme). All of it lives in the app's private storage on your phone. A photo you add to a card is copied from the photo picker into that private storage (shrunk to at most 1600 pixels on its longest side) and deleted again when you remove it, delete the card or erase everything.
  • Nothing is uploaded. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
  • Lots has no internet permission at all. It never looks anything up: opening hours, streaming dates and your pantry are what you type, and idea packs come with the app.

What the app can ask to use

  • Notifications: only if you turn on nudges. At most one a day, at the time you choose.
  • Photos: Lots uses Android's own photo picker, so it sees only the one photo you pick and needs no permission to read your photos.
  • Lots never asks for your location, contacts, microphone or camera, and it has no access to your photo library.

Other permissions you may see listed

Android lists a few extra permissions that come from the scheduling library behind nudges: waking the phone briefly to run the nudge, starting again after a restart, and checking whether the network is on. They give Lots no access to the internet or to anything of yours.

What leaves your phone, and only when you choose

  • Backup file: you can save a backup (drawers, cards, any card photos, memories, preferences) to a place you pick. Where it goes after that is up to you.
  • Spreadsheet export: the same, for one drawer's cards.
  • Shopping list: "Add to shopping list" hands a short text to your phone's share sheet. It goes only to the app you pick.
  • Email to us: "Write to us", "Suggest an idea" and "Tell us what happened" open your email app with a message you can read and edit before sending. A crash report contains the error and the app and Android version, never your cards. We use what you send only to reply and to fix problems.
  • Files you import: spreadsheets, KML files and pasted lists are read on your phone only.

Lots on the web

The web version at lots.onelifestack.com/app follows the same rules. Your drawers and settings are stored in your browser on that computer, never on our servers. There are no accounts, no analytics and no cookies. Clearing the browser's site data erases them, so download a backup now and then.

Deleting

You can erase everything on your phone from You > Erase everything, or by uninstalling the app. A deleted drawer can be brought back for 30 days, then it is gone for good. Backup files you saved are yours to delete.

Children

Lots has no accounts and collects nothing, so there is no personal information to protect or share. It is made for people aged 13 and over.

Changes

If this ever changes we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
